COUNTY LINE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH

County Line Missionary Baptist Church had its origins on August 11, 1987 at the home of Brother Rodger Lindsey. Thirty-three people met there and by consensus decided to begin a "local true worship service" and to cultivate mutual support through prayer, Christian love, and fellowship. The following Sunday, August 16, the group felt a strong leadership of the Lord to move ahead quickly to establish a new church.

The first sermon to the group was preached on August 23, 1987, by Bro. Max Woods at Bro. Lindsey's home.  Having secured access to the old Williams Chapel Church building, the group met there on August 26.  Bro. Kyle Hale donated land for the current site on September 5, 1987, and on September 22 the footing was dug for a 56'x56' foundation. The first service at the new location was November 22, 1987, and the Church was formally established on December 13, 1987, during a service moderated by Brother E. F. Prince. The presbytery was made up of 34 members plus 14 ministers and 20 deacons from 13 sister churches.  Thirty six members joined that day.   The Church is grateful for the support from sister churches.  Present day membership is 58.
