MICHAEL KING
CITY ATTORNEY
Mr. King is a partner of King and Thompson in Huntingdon and has been practicing law in the same office since receiving his Doctorate of Jurisprudence, with honors, in 2000 from Mississippi College School of Law. Mr. King has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with honors, from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Mr. King was admitted to practice law by the Tennessee Supreme Court in 2000 and the United States District Court of Tennessee (Western District) in 2001. In addition to representing individuals, Mr. King also serves as general counsel for several public entities including municipalities, public utilities, housing authorities, and school districts.

Mr. Maddox is a graduate of Memphis State University (now University of Memphis) and the University of Tennessee at Martin, and he received his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Mr. Maddox was admitted to practice law by the Tennessee Supreme Court, the United States District Court of Tennessee (Western District), and the United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit in 1984. He was a partner in Maddox, Maddox, and Maddox from 1984-2011 and is now a sole practitioner in Huntingdon. He serves as City Judge for other municipalities and has been City Judge for Clarksburg since 2000.
